The view our first day in Clontarf

It took us awhile but we’ve finally moved in to our new place in Clontarf. We currently have about half of our stuff moved in, and should have everything over within the next several days.

While we are excited to be in Clontarf, there has been a good deal of sadness with leaving the old house as it was a great place, and we had an amazing landlord.

There are a lot of great things about the new place too. The item several us are most excited about is finally having broadband.

So if you’d like to FaceTime, Skype, or do a Google Hangout, let us know. We’d love to catch up with you!

What about Bob?

I grew up in Western New York and have started and led missional church planting efforts for a little over 30 years. As you might gather, I have opinions about the church, and I share some of them here.

While you can find a lot out there blaming the Nones, the ex-vangelicals, or those who are deconstructing their faith, for why fewer people attend church than did previously, I believe the first place we need to look is at ourselves.

3 Ways Christendom Has Been Bad for the Church

This is the fourth post in a series I’ve been writing on Christendom. The previous ones (here, here and here) were to lay some groundwork as I move into the main idea I want to dig into: the damage done to the church by aligning with the Roman Empire and,...
