Pancakes

On Sunday, October 31, we are going to be doing something a little bit different. As we've been announcing over the past few weeks, we are going to have only one service that day (@ 10 am), as well as a dish to pass lunch. Well, we are going to experiment with something else from 9:15 until around 10 am, we will be having a pancake breakfast in the café.

On Sunday, October 31, we are going to be doing something a little bit different.

As we’ve been announcing over the past few weeks, we are going to have only one service that day (@ 10 am), as well as a dish to pass lunch.  Well, we are going to experiment with something else from 9:15 until around 10 am, we will be having a pancake breakfast in the café.

So the morning will look something like this:

9:15 am to 10:00 am : Pancake Breakfast

10:00 am to 11:30 am : Worship service (fyi, there will be no break in the service this week…althougth coffee will be available in the café.)

11:30 am to about 1:00 pm : Dish to pass lunch

What to Bring:

We recognize that not everyone will come to both of the meals…but if you are coming, we are asking everyone to bring something.

If you are attending the pancake breakfast, please bring syrup, or your favorite filling.  And we do ask that you bring enough to share with another person or 2.

If you are attending the dish to pass lunch, please don’t feel any need to go crazy and spend lots of time & money…However, we do ask that you bring a meal for your family and one other person.  So, if there are four of you and you are bringing ham sandwiches, chips & soda…please bring enough for 5 or 6 people.

Our hope for the day is simply to spend some time together & have an enjoyable time.  The food is not the key thing, but we do want to make sure that everyone has enough.

We are looking for help with the pancake breakfast part…If you would like to help with the food prep, please drop me a note & let me know.

Also, we are looking to borrow a few electric griddles/skillets.  If you have one we could use, again, please let me know.

What about Bob?

I grew up in Western New York and have started and led missional church planting efforts for a little over 30 years. As you might gather, I have opinions about the church, and I share some of them here.
