One of my favorite quotes…

Today our 3 interns officially started VLI. We started our first mentoring class this morning, by looking at the topic of evangelism. Each of the interns (Erin Smith, Darin LeBlanc & Kevin Cornell) will be leading a Servant Evangelism project this fall in addition to meeting for weekly classes, so don't be surprised if one of them asks you to be on their team!

Today, while we were going through the mentoring manual I was reminded of a quote I read several years ago when we were first starting the Vineyard.  At the time the book by Brian McClaren was called Reinventing your Church, although it is now renamed  The Church on the Other Side.

Anyway…the quote was basically this,

The church is the only organization that exists for those who are not yet a part of it.

I love that!

What about Bob?

“I don’t like biographies.” I’ve said that on numerous occasions. I love to read, but generally I love to read a few specific genres. For non-fiction that would include books on leadership (general and church), theology, and behavioural economics. For fiction (which I...
