I don’t remember exactly where I heard it, but recently I was watching a video of John Wimber and he was talking about people becoming followers of Jesus. The paraphrase was basically, “I don’t know how people become Christians, I just know they do.” And he continued by saying, “All I know is, you talk about Jesus a lot and eventually people become Christians.”

It seems everything I’ve heard at this conference has really brought that up in my head over and over. This summer we as a church are really planning on focusing on serving our community in many various ways…but what I would love to see throughout our church is simply people talking about Jesus.

What would that look like for you?

What about Bob?

I grew up in Western New York and have started and led missional church planting efforts for a little over 30 years. As you might gather, I have opinions about the church, and I share some of them here.

This past Sunday, as we (The Table) began looking at the Sermon on the Mount, this passage came up again. I've spent some time this week thinking about the gospel and the kingdom. https://bobwilson.substack.com/p/when-jesus-proclaimed-the-gospel
