Soon after arriving in Ireland, I came across a word that stopped me in my tracks:Â peregrinatio.
While Ulysses had a clear destination in mind, peregrinatio pro Christo describes a pilgrimage taken for Christ, but without a pre-set destination. Unlike pilgrimages to holy sites with fixed endpoints, peregrinatio embraced voluntary exile — a journey into liminal space.
