First off, no, there’s no “big” announcements like we’ve had over the past few years:

1) There are no new kids on the way,

2) We are not moving to another country

Heck, there aren’t even any medium-sized announcements like “We have found jobs!”

Now that I have lowered your expectations, here are the 2 items I wanted to let you know about.

First, after a 3-month hiatus, I am planning on getting back to blogging by mid-February. While the time off has been restful, I have been missing it lately. Not only the process of writing, (which I’m realizing more and more how much I love) but interacting with so many of you on a regular basis.

In addition to the blog, you may have noticed that I’ve been absent from Facebook & Twitter for the most part as well. While I’ll probably never be a regular on Facebook, I am hoping to start getting some content out on everyone’s two favourite social media sites soon.

The goal is to have everything up and running again by the 14th of February.

The other item I wanted to let you know about is that when the blog does return it will have a new web address. Once everything is set up on the new site, I’ll send out the new address, as well as how to update your feed for those of you who subscribe.

Is there anything you’ve been wondering about since our blogging hiatus began?

What about Bob?

I grew up in Western New York and have started and led missional church planting efforts for a little over 30 years. As you might gather, I have opinions about the church, and I share some of them here.

With the big social media platforms all feeling less and less appealing, I’ve been checking out Micro.Blog for a bit. I’m not sure I’ll be there long term, as it feels like a tough group to break into. But I have enjoyed some of the micro-projects they have tried. The...

The Third Week of November

Way back when I lived in Ithaca, I often did a "Friday Data Dump" post. It was basically whatever random stuff happened to be on my mind at the time. This isn't quite that, but I wanted to share a few things from the past week. I'd love your thoughts if you have any....

Malin Head…mostly

Malin Head is a two-hour drive from where we are staying in Donegal, but I have wanted to visit for a while. So, we get to the top of the hill, looking for a place to park, and people start waving at us. There was a thought that perhaps they were signaling that we...

sigh… I need to go back to school and learn how to read. My brain just skipped over the important “aren’t” and started rejoicing.. =(

Yeah, I’m a master at scanning items only to learn later I missed something important or missed the big point.
